Jabal Omar Development Project is a mixed-use commercial and residential projects located next to Grand Mosque (Haram) Makkah. The Project consists of developing around 2mn sqm of construction covering 38 residential and hotel towers with the capacity to host 36,000 persons during most of the year and in excess of 100,000 persons during the Hajj. About 11,500 keys representing 26 upscale hotel brands of 11 major international hotel companies, including Hilton, Hyatt, and Marriott will be added to this mega project.
Equinox Hospitality engagement with this project as hospitality consultant encompass services to evaluate and recommend appropriate brand for each hotel tower, negotiate letters of intent (LOIs) with the selected brands, negotiate management agreements, identify and engage the appropriate interior design firms for each hotel, procurement of furniture, fixtures & equipment (FF&E), and coordination assistance to the project management team.
Equinox also provided asset management services for initially opened 5 hotel properties with the key task to ensure that the hotel operations are running smoothly to continue to make profits. To ensure that the operator is held to its commitments and the hotel asset performs at its highest yielding level at all times. Reviewing marketing strategy and expense controls to enhance revenue growth and provide consistency of service. Follow-up reporting including analysis and critique of financial statements.
